Andrew is a patented engineer, seasoned entrepreneur, and product designer.

 

Andrew Brimer co-founded Sparo Health, a digital health & medical technology company focused on building solutions for people with respiratory conditions, such as Asthma and COPD. At Sparo, Andrew led the design, development, and hardware manufacturing of Wing®, the first FDA-cleared smartphone sensor + app to measure lung function. Andrew and his team later expanded the company’s product offering by building Lift Pulmonary Rehab, an online, video-based fitness, education, and rehabilitation platform for people with COPD.

In 2022, Sparo Health was acquired by Wellinks, a COPD-focused digital health company fueled by a mission to empower people in their pursuit to breathe freely. Wellinks is building a digitally-enabled virtual care management solution for COPD, with a focus on reinventing respiratory care. Andrew is currently working with Wellinks as a Senior Product Designer, focused on the intersection of strategy, data, and user experience.

Andrew has earned numerous accolades and honors, including being named to Forbes’ 30 Under 30 and receiving a highly competitive Arch Grant. He has presented his work at the United Nations in NYC, the Cleveland Clinic, the University of Oxford, and The White House.

Andrew is a patented inventor (US Patents #US8091434B2 and #USD820447S1) for his work in creating an acoustic, fluidic oscillating spirometer. He has also been published in peer-reviewed journals for his original research on the subject of soft nanomaterials.

Andrew holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science from Washington University in St. Louis, where returns often to speak and mentor. Andrew is also an avid musician and composer — proficient in piano, trombone, drums, ukulele & Logic Pro. He currently lives in St. Louis, Missouri with his girlfriend Allie, and frequently visits the mountains of Colorado.
